ABC TREATMENT - Your Questions Answered

Q- What is the ‘ABC’ Treatment-

ABC stands for Align, (Teeth Straightening) Bleach (Teeth Whitening) and Contour (Composite Bonding/Composite Contouring)

Align

The first stage of this treatment is the alignment of the teeth. We tend to opt for clear aligner systems such as ClearCorrect. These near-on invisible aligners are worn for 22 hours a day, only to be removed for eating and drinking. Each set of aligners is worn for 2 weeks before moving to the next aligner. On average teeth straightening takes between 9-12 months however some case make take longer depending on the severity.

Bleach

Once the teeth are nicely aligned your dentist will take a 3d scan of your mouth using our state-of-the-art intra-oral scanner. Using this scan our lab will then make your custom-made whitening trays. The whitening gel is placed in these trays and worn either overnight or for an hour during the day. We recommend whitening teeth for 2 weeks, however if you wish for a more dramatic result you may need to continue the whitening process for a little longer.

Contour

Once you are happy with the shade of your teeth it’s time to move on to the bonding part of the treatment. Composite is a highly versatile material and it can be placed directly by your dentist onto the tooth’s surface. It can be used to close gaps, fix chipped teeth, lighten the colour and even change the shape and size of the teeth.

Q- How much does the ABC treatment cost?

Unfortunately without seeing one of our dentists for a consultation, it is not possible to give an exact estimate as prices vary depending on the treatment required, Teeth Straightening starts from £3750 (including Teeth Whitening) and Composite Bonding starts from £200 per tooth.

Q: How long does the treatment take?

Every case is different so the length of treatment does vary. The average Teeth Straightening case takes roughly 9-12 months, Teeth Whitening takes 2 weeks and Composite Bonding can be done in as little as 2 appointments.

Q: What are the benefits of ABC treatment?

  • Due to the minimally invasive nature of the ABC treatment, it is a low-risk and high-reward option for patients seeking a smile makeover.

  • As part of the treatment, improvements in the bite and positioning of teeth are made which then reduces the risk of future problems.

  • Minimally invasive treatments require little to no anaesthetic which is great for patients who are anxious about having dental treatment.

  • For many patients, the ABC treatment will improve self-confidence and give a more youthful appearance.

The Align, Bleach and Contour treatment is one of the most popular treatments to improve the appearance and health of the teeth. It is a safe and effective way to improve the aesthetics of the teeth and can be customised to meet the needs of each individual patient.
