COMPOSITE CONTOURING

Composite white filling material is very versatile. It can be placed directly by your dentist and can be sculpted into many shapes to create a natural looking tooth. This is perfect for patients looking for a smile makeover.

The composite material can provide a highly cosmetic result and is bonded to teeth to help provide a quick smile makeover.

Composite Bonding does not involve as much laboratory assistance so is a cost effective option for patients looking at a smile makeover.

S3 Dental routinely combines composite bonding with teeth whitening to provide great results!

SMILE MAKEOVERS WITH PORCELAIN RESTORATIONS

Incredibly popular and often one of our most sought after treatments. The Smile Makeover is the ultimate treatment in cosmetic dentistry. With a bright smile, evidence shows people are more confident and social.

Our special dental team is well trained in the delivery of cosmetic dental treatments and we have transformed smile after smile. All this knowledge has helped build a smooth and magical experience. A new smile is possible with the correct planning and the right team.

Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells placed on teeth to improve the appearance of teeth. They are often the linchpin for smile makeovers.

They are used to mask discolouration of natural teeth, improve the shape and position of teeth or repair chipped and broken teeth.

The porcelain is often thin, but once bonded to a tooth it is incredibly strong and provides excellent resistance to fracture and wear.

A host of ranges for veneers are available at S3 Dental and if you believe veneers are the right option for you, your dentist will be able to talk to you about making the right choice.

dental implants

Dental Implants are regarded as the gold standard for replacing a missing tooth.

The incredibly strong titanium alloy integrates with the jaw bone to provide a strong and firm restoration.

A Dental Implant is made of three components, the titanium implant, the abutment and crown. The titanium implant goes into the jaw and acts as a root replacement.

The abutment links the root to a dental crown. The dental crown can either be cemented onto the abutment or screwed in.

S3 Dental provides dental implants to replace single, multiple or all the teeth in certain situations.

We offer finance options for patients interested in dental implants making dental implants as affordable as £1.60 per day.

If it is determined that all remaining teeth in a jaw are no longer viable, then patients are often faced with the option of dentures. Dentures are removable appliances that may not be suitable for some people.

An alternative to dentures is an implant supported bridge. This involves the placement of 4 dental implants and the fabrication of a custom dental bridge supported by these implants. This is called the ALL on 4 Implant Solution.

All on 4 Dental Implant Bridge - Fitted Same Day

The unique feature about the ALL on 4 Implant solution is that it can allow for implants to be placed and the dental bridge to be fitted on the same day. This means that patients are never without teeth and can go home and eat that day.

The All on 4 solution can be used with a fixed dental bridge or a denture.

The fixed bridge is only removed by your dentist, whilst the denture supported by the implants is removed daily by the patient for cleaning.

We offer finance options for patients interested in dental implants making dental implants as affordable as £1.60 per day.

ORTHODONTICS

S3 Dental has a wide range of orthodontic options available to patients, we provide private orthodontic treatment for adults and children to correct the alignment of their front teeth.

These orthodontic systems have slight differences but ultimately provide great looking results.

Invisalign or ClearCorrect are regarded as the Invisible or Clear brace system which involves a series of thin clear mouthguards called aligners. They are removable for eating and cleaning but if worn at all other times can provide stunning results.

Your dentist can discuss the option that is best for you and we offer great finance plans for patients making the braces as affordable as £2 per day.

Check out how your new smile could look in under 30 seconds using our SmileView feature below.

How ClearCorrect Aligners Works

clearcorrect-wear-your-aligners.jpg

After a details consultation involving photos and an accurate digital scan of the mouth, we provide a 3D simulation of how we can move your teeth using aligner technology.

These near invisible removable braces work by moving teeth sequentially over a period of months through a series of aligners until the final result is achieved.

The flexible nature of aligner technology allows you to wear your aligners during the day, but remove them for eating and special events.

Aligner treatment does not need to be protracted taking on average 9 months and 99% of our cases are non extraction based.

The Benefits of Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontic treatment provides a number of benefits beyond just the visible improvement in the smile.

Correctly aligned teeth are easier to clean. This has a number of positive benefits such as reduced dental decay and reduced chances of gum disease.

A healthier cleaner mouth provides less areas for food to get caught reducing food traps which can cause bad breath.

Improving the alignment of teeth also improves the bite and reduces the number of fractures of teeth and jaw problems.

Speak to your dentist about how Clear aligners can help improve your smile and oral health.

dental finance

We have a number of flexible payment plans available for patients looking to budget for their dental treatment.

We provide patients with personal finance options that can help spread the cost of dental treatment over a 1 - 5 year period. With treatment becoming as affordable as £1.50 per day.

Our finance partner provides a “soft checking” service that do not affect your credit score and gives a result within minutes. If you would like to know more then speak to our treatment team who can provide you with more information.

teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to improve the shade of teeth without harming the teeth.

The process involves minimal intervention, and it very simple. A set of whitening trays are made which fit tightly around your teeth. A specially formulated whitening gel with built in desenstiser and whitening agents is placed into the whitening trays. Depending on your preference, we offer a day time whitening or night time whitening.

Both options provide excellent results and are simple to use.

S3 Dental uses the fabulous Boutique Whitening system for home use recommendations, but other more advanced whitening techniques are also used. These systems include the Enlighten whitening system with absolute white B1 shade guaranteed and the Zoom power whitening chairside system.

Your dentist will be able to advise you on the best option for you.

SENSITIVE TEETH ? NO WORRIES!

Sensitive teeth is often related to the thickness of the enamel and the gum health. Any exposed nerve endings on a tooth can cause sensitivity to cold foods and during the whitening process.

We are pleased to offer a variety of concentrations of whitening gels for my patients to help them get the best teeth whitening result.

On average, whitening of teeth is a two week process, but with sensitive teeth this can take a little longer.

 DENTAL CROWNS

materials-for-dental-crowns.png

Dental Crowns and other indirect restorations such as inlays, onlays and bridges are required when a tooth is weakened by decay, chips or large fillings.

These group of restorations are aimed at strengthening a tooth but often require laboratory involvement to manufacturer them

They can be made out of a variety of materials such as Gold, Ceramic or a metal porcelain hybrid.

Indirect restorations often require two appointments,

Each restoration has its strengths and weaknesses. Your dentist will discuss the best option available for you.

HYGIENIST DENTAL CARE IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOOD ORAL HEALTH

S3 Dental believes that prevention is better than cure and we aim to provide a hygienist service that focuses on prevention.

A dental hygienist can help improve the oral health of your teeth and gums by removing dental plaque.

Dental plaque contains bacteria which when present on teeth can weaken your enamel which can allow for dental decay and cause inflammation of the gums which is the start of gum disease.

The video below shows the process of traditional gum disease and how it can cause changes to the gums, bones and teeth over time if left unchecked.

Regular oral hygiene appointments by your hygienist can help prevent gum disease and leave your smile health.

Advanced periodontal disease may need deeper cleaning and a more aggressive approach. This is determined by your dentist if the pocketing around the tooth is determined to be greater than the norm. In a healthy mouth a pocket depth between the tooth and gum is under 3mm. Anything about 3mm requires some investigation to determine the extent and severity.

Your dentist will advise you about the risks of periodontal disease and how to treat it if needed.

Trios 2.jpg

This revolutionary treatment allows patients to have digital impressions taken. This involves a very sophisticated camera that images the jaw to an incredibly accurate level.

The accuracy of the scan means we can utilise the digital impression for a variety of things such as monitoring tooth wear, assessing dental decay and oral hygiene and the fabrication of dental appliances such as mouthguards, whitening trays and dental crowns.

The whole process is pain free and without any mess. This means increased patient comfort - no more worrying about gag reflexes and leaves you with the ultimate dental experience.

NHS Dental Care Options

We currently provide a very limited NHS Dental service. The dental contract imposed on the profession in 2006 is unfortunately not fit for purpose and in recent years led to an exodus of dentists from the service.

Our ability to provide NHS care is currently extremely restricted by workforce issues and patients may only receive limited emergency care only.
